This 870 started its life as a Police issued weapon in California. Remington had extra Wingmasters that they outfitted with 18" barrels and polymer furniture. Once this one had fulfilled its duty it was sold and is now in my possession. I added a Wilson Combat 2 shot extension and refinished it in OD green. What do you guys think? Well that depends. I honestly believe yoga pants, as well as spandex pants, should not come in XXL. Yoga pants and spandex were never meant to be worn by someone who has to pour themselves into an XXL. The materials used to make spandex must be some strong material, I cannot imagine the tensile strength they have in order to survive some of the bodies they are holding in.5 points

Don't give up yet. The old gal has some years on her, and needs a bit more tlc before settling in to be your new honey. Heck, at 48, she's younger than me. And I ain't been parked permanently yet.4 points

I finally got time to make something......here are some pics. Total cost was about $25. It's easy to remove, but actually pretty sturdy. It's actually not near as wide as it looks in the pic. it overhangs my 4 wheeler by about 4" on each side is all.2 points

I don't know if I can see a gun in those pics or not, but, one thing is for sure....I seem to be printing2 points

Got mine last week and just now able to post. Got some great stuff! Got a new mag for my new 10/22. Much better than the junky ones I had! A new bore snake...can never have to many of those to have on hand in different places. And I guess I need to start a bug out bag! Got a neat little .22 ammo dispenser (never even heard of such, but wow I needed it!), some combat gauze, and a tourniquet. Not to mention the well thought out note. Thanks Santa! Yoga pants are a gift from God. lol You know the guy with the camera kept saying, just one more pic...almost got it right. I had reason to be on a college campus for several hours on a Saturday a while back. Sigh...to be young again. If I started wearing yoga pants, you guys can shoot me...2 points

Just talked to PSA. After sitting on hold for 49 minutes they finally answered. The gentleman I spoke with was fantastic. He seemed genuinely irritated that they sent out wet ammo. He sent me a UPS label and RMA form so I could send it back and they will be replacing it. That is the kind of customer service I like. They apologized, said ship it back and we will make it right.2 points

Enjoy some semi-glamour shots of my Luger.... I tried to show all the imperfections in the finish, along with the identification stamps. Not horrible condition to be 98 years old. http://imgur.com/a/NBfPn1 point

I carry a knife everyday, typically my damascus TGO Magic. In an effort to minimize scratches on my favorite knife I don't typically put anything else in the pocket I carry my knife in (keys, change, etc). I've been TDY out in Oklahoma for the last couple of months and I came across these jeans made by Ariat (the boot company). They have a built in knife pocket that allows me to carry my knife and use the pocket without fear of damage to my knife. A small thing I know but it's made me pretty happy. Merry Christmas y'all.1 point

Has anybody else had this problem? Just purchased a new Sig P938, I go to shoot it and it consistently shoots to the left. I am by no means the best shot ever, but I can get a good group going. I looked at the sights, and noticed that the front sight is ever so slightly to the left of center, and the rear sight is quite a bit to the left of center. Is this normal? Something that should be sent back to Sig? Or should I just get a brass punch and do it myself?1 point

Liked that S&W CORE set up so much, I replaced the EDC with a mini-version Extension was just for giggles, have an x-grip on a 17 rounder. Up in the air about having the slide milled and installing one of those Burris optics on it too since I've got free extras coming in from that rebate thing. just not sure on it yet.1 point

As my profile picture suggest, I have a 68 bel air. After neglecting her for the past three years, I decided to get her driving again. Dropped a new jasper rebuilt motor, new clutch, new flywheel, carb, fuel tank and the list goes on. Got her finished last month. First drive, column bushings completely gave out. Dropped a hurst floor shifter. Got her up and going. Put new tires and decided to test her on the highway for a short trip. Didnt make out of the exit ramp before she decided being good was too much to ask. The new ujoint broke, and decided to hang on just enough to shake the transmission enough to crack the bell housing completely in half. I swear, I am extremely close to buying about 100lbs of tannerite and using her as spectacular longer distance target.1 point

Great work! I bet you could add outside stake pockets now and make simple sideboards if you wanted to haul supplies or such around. Would be great to haul the chainsaw and gear around if trimming out trails in the summer.1 point

I can see getting a 650 at some point. But right now, this 550B is a great leap forward from what I'm used to.1 point

Good choice! I've been using mine for nearly 25 years and not a single problem other than I've worn out a few pick up fingers on the primer tubes. Needless to say I am very pleased with mine. I don't shoot nearly as many metallic cartridges as I used to but enough to justify keeping it around. I have a friend that recently acquired a Dillon 650 and I helped him set it up over the weekend. We mounted it, set up case feeder and set the .223 dies and adjusted the powder seetting on Saturday. I went back on Sunday and we cranked out 1000 rounds in under three houres. I'm thinking I may have to upgrade because to be honest I got a little spoiled in one 3 hour session.1 point

My wife wears a lot of yoga pants around the house and occasionally out shopping with a long shirt or sweater. I don't mind it. One of the things she has not been able to do, though, is carry a gun with them. This might be a fix for that.1 point

At my old place I used some junk trees that weren't worth making into fire wood into a backstop for my shooting range. I know it isn't a forever backstop but it was still going strong after 5 years when we moved down to TN. I made a presure treated framework to keep them contained and stacked it full. I filled voids as I stacked with wood chips. I only used it for handguns and .22 so wasn't to worried about a bullet finding a path through the pile. I had it stacked so I was shooting into the sawed ends of the logs. As an aside I debated about disassembling it when we put the house on the market not knowing who would be buying the house but decided to leave it. I have heard from one of our old neighbors that the new owner uses it regularly.1 point

Here's one without the text. Can you see it now? If I start wearing yoga pants I may have to look into getting one of these holsters but something tells me that's highly unlikely!1 point

Back years ago when I was a kid and did a lot of shooting with a friend we were shooting some pigeons for a farmer to get them out of his barn and ran out of 12 gauge shells. The farmer had some 20 gauge boxes of ammo. He gave it to us and we took our pocket knives and cut the 12 gauge plastic cases off the 12 gauge brass and inserted the 20 gauge rounds inside the 12 gauge cases and were able to shoot the last 3 boxes and finish off the pigeons. Both of us were shooting side by side double barrels. Don't know if it would have worked in pump guns or semiautos..........................1 point

Hey Shotgunner, it's never too late to hear about experience in the field. I've heard that if you're saving the hides, the .17HMR makes a small hole going in and explodes inside, without exiting on the other side of the hide. I just put a better scope (BSA Sweet 17), but haven't had a chance to sight it in yet. I'm anxious to see what it will do in the field. Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.1 point

More of a "look at this" kind of thing to me. Never saw a real use for one. "Things going south" and I am shooting with a BP firearm and taking what the other guy has till I get what I need.1 point

Well, you see, I've been on the market for a nice Garand, but every time I have the money to buy one, I end up with something completely different. This time I thought I'd upgrade my carry gun. And I wanted a good quality 9mm. Then, I was sitting around the house, waiting on a repairman (who never showed up) and I ran across this gun on a forum.... I sent him an email, and the next thing you know, I've bought a 98 year old P08 Luger.... We shall see how good or bad of a deal I got in a few days, until then we all must just drool over some pictures1 point

I know you're at the wrong end of the state but we're doing a build party on these at some point this month hopefully, if you would be interested.1 point

x2 for Reloaders Bench. They know the product and have good selection of new and used parts. If your shell plate or buttons fit other caliber kits you can piece together another set up and save a few bucks. Everyone else has caliber conversion kits and presses only. it is a money pit if you a lot of calibers and these guys saved me a few bucks.1 point

I'll throw a wrench in the works. Another excellent option, Savage 340. This is a bolt action 30-30. There are a bunch out there, go for $200-$300(usually with scope) and are a great value. Also was sold as Stevens 325, savage 840, etc.... Ill echo the comment about Hornady leverloution ammo, it'll stretch the common available 30-30 loads by about 50yds. I used it until I started reloading .1 point
