Just go buy a screw exactor set and get the right tool for the job. They are $10 or less at Lowes or Home Depot.

Thanks. After Ernie died we were going to need another large dog. At first we were set on another American Bulldog except a Johnson type rather than the Scot type we had before. Then we looked really hard at a Daniff (Mastiff and Great Dane mix). Then during our search we came across an Alapaha named Axel. He was a beautiful blue merle with blue eyes. We contacted the owner to find out who the breeder was. Then we contacted the breeder and the wait began because a puppy would not be available for at least 4 more months. During our wait my wife became a member of several Alapaha groups on FB and one day Gus became available. A deal was struck within the hour and a week later my wife drove 5 hours one way to pick him up. And up to this point I would not change a thing.   He can be the sweetest dog in the world and at other times I think he is Satan's best friend but we love Gus.

If it's likely that I will need a weapon in a particular place, it's likely that I don't need to be there.

A fool and his money are soon parted.    As others have said, prices are as high as the market will bear.  There's 2 balance points for a business, one with low prices and high volume and another with high prices and low volume. Some like one way more than another.    I have a limited budget and consider myself a "value" shopper.  I don't mind paying a higher price if I think it's worthwhile.  But I won't knowingly be gouged either. 

Nowhere in that article does it mention keeping your customer happy. I get the colt 6920 metaphor, but I believe you'll have impulsive buyers, cost conscientious buyers,and new folks that gotta have one before it all goes away as stated in the article. We saw the rise and fall of useltons, his way or no way or try to sell a family 5000 buck 1911's when they just came in to try shooting 22's.The customers were hardly ever happy, or they made believe to be happy to cover buyers remorse after the fact.they tried everything to get the masses to swallow their erectile 1911's   Id rather have my kids eating steaks than hot dogs too, but, a loyal customer appreciates being treated nicely,selling a 400 dollar pistol for 750.00, 350 over msrp wont make up for the guys that come in every week and spend 50 bucks a week over the course of a year. 50 times say 48 weeks is: a lot more than 350.00 in a one time sale. never bite the hand that feeds you.   Some stores go out of their way for repeat buyers and offer discounts on things and more, thats a lot smarter than offing a handful of unobtainiums up for crazy markup. Keep everyone happy and they'll keep coming back, and if they enjoy their experience, and find it valuable and even fun,they wont mind paying more in exchange for fair friendly treatment.buying a gun or accessory should be fun, not a necessary evil.   There's a shop i really like that helped me with a rifle i really wanted. I was short on money for it but the mgr said " i see you here all the time" let me see what I can do. Ive spent a few large in that big shop off 24 over the years, he came back and made me a fair offer on it cause he knew i wanted it, appreciated my loyalty, and wanted to move a few. I left w that bad ass rec7.   I think weve beat up the "I hate the fat know it all behind the counter" numerous times on here. In the vortex, it still comes back to treating people nicely....its sad that online shops are beating some LGS's on customer svc....where everyone has a perfect steak. thats my opinion..

Lots of elbow grease and lots of patience. ;) Since it's a hobby I can't afford one of those fancy $2500 grinders with all of those attachments. If I had one of those I could cut the production time down to practically nothing. :lol:

He was on one of those "next big star" reality type shoes my wife watches a few years back, seemed like a genuine guy. But, to me there hasn't been any decent Nashville country made in SEVERAL years. I mainly listen to what's called red dirt country now

Sonny, I've built 2 CMT ar-15's and I have one of their 308 receiver sets in my safe waiting to be built. The pieces are extremely well built and fit together perfectly. I like the fact that they designed the lower to take one of the 45* selector switches. Hopefully my barrel will be here sometime next week so that I can begin my build. I can't wait to shoot it against my M&P 10 to see how it does. I was about to pull the trigger on building a Mega when CMT announced ( or rather, MacGyver...) that they were finishing their design. I'm glad it worked out that way as CMT builds first rate stuff. Mark

If you really want to see some jaw dropping inventory you need to head to Outpost Armory its a little South East of Nashville but its worth the drive if you want to go somewhere and day dream for a while. Their prices are high imo when compared to competing stores but they have the largest/coolest inventory I have seen yet and Im not talking only their firearms they have a lot of cool gear as well. Barretts for days(MRADS,98B's,M107's etc in several configs),LMT,LWRC,KAC,Scar 16's/17's they are the only place I have ever walked into and seen a couple GA Precisions sitting on the shelf.All the latest and greatest Tacticool rigs,suppressors,sbr's,lasers,night vision gear,tons of reloading equipment etc...now if you arent a huge fan of tacticool stuff they also have a large selection of your more common firearms as well. Basically they have all the stuff in stock that you can put your hands on that you would normally have to order blindly.   Nashville Armory has a nice inventory but nothing to write home about imo. What I like about Nashville Armory is how nice the actual store is,you go there and it almost feels like you have walked into some elite gun club.   Now if Im actually wondering around with cash in my pocket to spend I head to Guns and Leather in Greenbrier,great atmosphere nice inventory  and most importantly to me the people who work there are great. You go in there and they treat you like family,whenever someone ask me where they should go to look for a gun I send them there and when they leave thats the only place they will consider going back to when in the market for a firearms related purchase.

Unless someone's chasing me, I don't see a need to run.  Actually I find it completely boring.  I need to be doing something, but can't bring myself to run.  I would love to get a group of guys together to play basketball or something to get some cardio without the monotony.  I know some people love it, but I have just never enjoyed it.

I've found that I agree with them much more often than not. From gun control to organic food, the war on drugs all the way to recycling. Second hand smoke was a good episode too... Don't even bother with their religious stuff if you hold your faith near and dear, it will only upset you.

I carry every day, everywhere it is legal. If I go to a business and it is posted,I take my money elsewhere. I carry at home as the stuff can hit the fan anytime, anywhere. Our children have left the nest, so at night it's within reach. I agree with Authenticman, the best place for the weapon is in the safe or within my immediate reach.                  That door you just kicked in was for your protection, not mine. 

i have preached it for 18 years while I fish tournaments that Life jackets and kill switches save lives please wear them. My boat motor won't start unless I have my vest on because my kill switch tab is attached to my vest and I put my vest on and then plug up the kill switch slide so motor will start. Heard to many horror stories of folks not wearing them for me not to put mine on. If I have a passenger the must have one on also. I have extras in my boat for them. The old adage IT WON"T OR CAN"T HAPPEN TO ME don't hunt folks. It can happen to anyone................jmho 

1.  When do people EVER make a child's anxiety a key consideration in deciding which rights the adult will exercise?  Is that like saying I won't vote democrat because it might freak out a child?  Or, I won't disparage the current president of the United States because it might cause Little Johnny some anxiety?  On second thought, that's a great idea.  Every time an adult wants to do something, we'll run it by the Child Anxiety Oracle and see if the kid approves.   2.  Apparently Mr. Cousins is a school administrator in a state in which it is legal to carry firearms in a school.  If state law allows this, and a school administrator reacts to the sight of a holstered handgun on an adult's hip by calling 911 and sending the school into a school lockdown... then that school administrator needs to be replaced immediately.  "Swatting" is illegal when 15 year old video game players do it to each other in California; it's just as illegal when a 40 year old civil servant does it to an innocent citizen.

I always carry one or more when away from the house, unless it's illegal. I avoid going to those places whenever possible by buying car tags/paying taxes online, etc., or just don't go there. At home there's either one on the nightstand, on a table next to me, or in my pocket/on my belt. Like others, if I'm going somewhere I think I'll need one, I don't need to go there.

Everywhere but work. We don't have kids so if there's no company coming over there's one laying about. And no not paranoid, 450lbs of dogs makes me very secure feeling. :)

Romak, had a customer who has several of these 31s tell me a while back the end of the stocks are beat up and discolored from the soldiers kicking the snow off their boots in the field... Appears yours may have some stories to tell!   When the guy brought this by in the condition it was in, may be almost want to cry ... like when a transferable machine gun gets cut up ... I rememeber seeing these in 55 gallon buckets at the guns shows way back... super cheap... always thought they were one of the most accurate and intertesting stock weapons ever.  They've sure gained more popularity over the recent years.  Real treasure to find them in Ramjo's condition too!
