  1.   Oy vey...we debunked that when you posted it over seven months ago. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/90255-muslims-in-our-government

  2. The derp is strong in this thread.   If a Muslim can't be a good American, someone really should let the ones who have volunteered for military service know, plus the firefighters, EMS, police etc. Imagine being quiet and content with serving your country or community only to realize you're inadequate due to religious beliefs. Boy will there be egg on their faces    As an aside, I doubt highly that ISIS will have to continue recruiting any moderates in the next few years, with the mentality some of you have, you'll do a perfectly good job turning a moderate into a radical all on your own. I wonder if ISIS is banking on that with their message of fear and terror..... Nah, stupid idiots.

  4. I had a Uncle Pass recently and he left me this Case Knife. I know there are hundreds of variants on each type when it comes to Case. after some research it looks like it's 1960's time frame or earlier and it looks like someone has customized it for sure

  5. I use a transfer switch but they aren't cheap. I am not a electrician but was told by reliable sources that beaker that you threw could fail and back feed electricity to lines possibly electrocuting utility workers.

  6. Awsome knife. Sorry about your uncle. When my grandfather passed away, I thought about refininshing his rifle. Then I realized that I'd be pulling all of the character out of it that he put into it. I left it as is, and I enjoy it more that way. Just something to consider before you refinish the knife. Those marks are character marks, and it looks great. I could see polishing the blade, but I couldn't bring myself to take it a part. Your choice though, but I thought I'd mention it.

  7. I have also heard good things about the Bushnell TRS 1x25 red dot that PSA has on sale for $80.  Has anyone used this and if so would it work on a shotgun with slugs?

  10. It was Gecko45. See, after Jade Helm Gecko45 got promoted to Top Combateer General for the National Security Mobile Task Force of Malls and other Slightly Less Crowded Places (NSMTFMSLCP) (Echo for short). See, Echo now has the ability to be to any mall in the Unite States within the hour, fully deployed with ballistic plates and armored Segways. What Gecko45 does is either sit in his safe and shiny office, surrounded with 12" of reinforced steel wedged between two 12" slabs of reinforced concrete, or he drives that vehicle your friend saw. When he is in his office he has tactical feeds to every mall and LE UAV in the country. At a moments notice he can pull up any feed and then directly tie into the comms of the task force on the ground. Recently the whole unit was also outfitted with a HUD system. This allows Gecko to basically control the task force as a RTS. He simply clicks and drags the units and points the direction they need to go, selects fire modes, prone positions, etc. This allows for greater coordination than has ever been possible. With the great mindset that Gecko has and the units on the ground willing to sacrifice themselves if directed, they are ready for any and all situations. As an interesting side note, that vehicle is outfitted with custom Kevlar interior and exterior stylings. Kevlar doors, Kevlar upholstery, Kevlar visors, even Kevlar cup holders. This was done to keep it 100% fully bulletproof against .50 BMG or anything smaller yet at the same time light enough to go 0-60 in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 220 MPH. Also the exterior of the vehicle uses a special nano coating that allows him to not only change colors on the fly but also impersonate any local LEO by matching any official logos, branding, etc at the touch of a button. 11. I have a Winchester 67A that my dad and aunt probably got second hand and learned to shoot with. It's tough not to break out a screwdriver and sandpaper, but those marks and scratches got there somehow. Just clean it and admire it.

  15. I've got several Glocks, I have shot them well for years.. Ive got a gen 3 19 and went out today to buy a gen 4 FDE 19... Came home with a VP9. My first HK. Out of curiosity i picked it up and I couldnt put it down. It feels so good in the hand I had to have it. Ive read a lot of positive things, and so far I really like how the trigger feels dry firing... Now I have to purchase new mags and holsters.... Anyone care to share experience with theirs?

  16. After looking at the recent posts of BRD, or black rifle disease I had a realization. I have a much older, but equally debilitating one, Wheel Gun Disease or WGD. Although I have owned many Smiths I am partial to Rugers. I love looking at the AR pics you guys have, but I wouldn't get rid of my revolvers for one. I have included pics of my Ruger Wheel Guns, or Sears Catalog edition of Gun Porn. Hope you enjoy.

  23. I just installed a panel interlock plate in my breaker panel.  That way you throw the main, slide the plate and switch on the generator breaker.  You can then power any circuit in the house that you want to without worrying about back feed on the generator or back feed to the main which could fry a lineman.  This is a good safe way to have plenty of options as to where you direct power.  The breaker for the generator input is run to an exterior weather proof box on the porch.   The design of the interlock plate is such that you cannot put power from the generator into the panel until you have disconnected the main from the utility pole.  This is quite a bit cheaper than a transfer switch and panel and it allows you to still be able to direct power anywhere in the home.  You can get the interlock plates for your breaker panel at Lowes or Home Depot.

  26. I just read that and was actually coming on here to post about it.  I am thoroughly bummed.  I think he was my favorite of his group/genre of Country music - even edging out the great Johnny Cash.  In fact, he was one of my favorite singers of any genre, period.  Loved his voice.  I got to see him in concert a few years back along with Willie Nelson and Ray Price on their 'Last of the Breed' tour.

  34.    Well, a diet coke, that's it. Didn't go to buy, just wanted to see the venue. Present day budget doesn't allow for more guns, etc.  Be assured, tho, there were no shortages of guns. Down side, physically, I just wasn't able to cover the entire thing. Prices seemed to be "gun show prices". I looked at mostly reloading prices, which were a bit higher than normal. Thought I might pick up some Vh N140, but found none. Always go to Reloaders Bench, Mt. Juilet for that anyway. Greg, you have got to get out there, you'll be like a kid in a toy store. FWIW, if anyone goes anytime soon, DO NOT go the route on Mapquest or GPS. There is a bridge out in East Tulsa that has traffic royally screwed up. NO marked detours at all. I would love to have a few moments with whoever was in charge of that. We came back thru hwy 75 South to I-40, and had no problem. Would suggest going in the same way. If you think Nashville is bad ( and it is ), Tulsa is much worse, traffic/street wise. Aside from that, we had a great trip. Weather was perfect, no road issues, other than the previous stated. Next show is in Nov. I believe. Tired, but glad to be back.  Think I'm getting too old for this stuff, LOL.

Ok Gents, Wicked edge emailed me my Gen 3 Pro set and all the goodies I ordered are being shipped later next week, this means it should be waiting for me when I get home around the middle of the month, I figure after 2 weeks of practice on my own knives I will be ready to set prices and start accepting knives to sharpen, Look for me to do this around the first week of May if all goes as planned!

  43. I wore long hair nearly all my life. Mullets in the '80s and an under cut ponytail in the '90s to full on hair through the `00s. In the `90s I was working my way through conservative southern sewing factories. With bright green hair several inches past my shoulders. As it was undercut, I could pull it up, wrap it up and hide it under a hat. I have never been without a job since I was old enough to get paid to work.   I was working for one factory in Madisonville, I had been there almost a year and we were spreading some nice bright green material. You remember those days when neon camouflage was all the rage? Well it just happened that my hair was the same color as the material we were cutting. So my boss and I were talking and I told him that I really needed to get a pair of the pants after they were done. He asked me why. So I pulled my beat up blue ADIDAS hat off my head (that I still have and wear often, twenty years later,) and let all that glowing green hair fall out from underneath. "Because it matches my hair," was my response.   Sam looks me dead in the eyes and says "I never would have hired you had I seen your hair."   "Of course not, why do you think I kept it tucked up under there for so long?" I responded.   From that day on whenever Sam came close enough to me he would start singing "Sign says green haired freaky people, need not apply..."

  44. Theoretically. In fact, I think that is why some 'experts' (Ayoob, maybe?) recommend that folks find out what ammo is issued to local law enforcement and carry that. I think the idea is that it might be harder to paint someone as a bloodthirsty maniac carrying extreme ammo that only a crazed killer would carry if it is the same stuff that the local police, Sheriff's Dept., etc. is issued for duty ammo. I'm not sure how much stock I put in that but folks have obviously thought of the possibility, at least.
